Understanding the wisdom behind our emotions.

Here's a different way to think about our emotions...  Our emotions are teachers.

Often we are conditioned to 'hide' or 'manage' our emotions, especially the negative ones.  But the truth is, emotions can be our greatest guides, because each emotion contains wisdom.

Consider the following - 

  • Anger shows you where your boundaries are.
  • Jealousy shows you who you want to be like.
  • Joy shows you what is aligned with your soul.
  • Anxiety reveals where you have an opportunity to grow your confidence.
  • Fear is your compass to become your best self.
  • Sadness shows you where you have an unmet need.

Next time an emotions shows up for you, acknowledge it, then consider the message, the wisdom, the direction and/or the learning you can take from it.
